Maniac Magee [electronic resource] / Jerry Spinelli.
Maniac Magee is the story of Jeffrey Lionel Magee, who lost his parents at the age of three in a trolley accident. Leaving his relatives, who won't talk to each other, he searches for a home with a real address that he can call his own in Two Mills, Pennsylvania. In the meantime, he earns the nickname 'Maniac.' He can punt a football perfectly while carrying a book in his other hand, he can hit an inside-the-park home run, and he can untie even the most Gordian of knots. He can do practically anything that the children of Two Mills think is impossible including making peace between violent racial factions in the town.
